Cellar Room Lessons
Headmaster Tom shouts for Jenny to go down into the cellar and wait for him.
Poor Jenny walks slowly down the cellar steps, she is very apprehensive. This is not the first time she has made the journey, so she has already prepared herself for the punishment that she knows is to come.
Wearing only a maroon jersey, her reddened bottom from a previous punishment is plainly seen as she bends forward.
Headmaster Tom comes down the cellar steps – holding a leather paddle in one hand and two books in the other.
Her heart sinks as he comes closer; she knows that the next few minutes are going to be really painful for her.
He rants at her about her disgraceful spelling and grammar – pushing the two books under her nose.
Ordering her to bend forward from the waist and hold onto the pillar with both hands, he balances the two books on her back. She is then warned that everytime she allows the books to fall, the paddling will start again from the beginning.
As the leather paddle makes contact with her poor quivering bottom, she yelps and jumps and the books wobble dangerously, although they don’t fall to the ground – that is until a really vicious thwack of the paddle sees the two books slide off her back, landing on the cellar floor with a thud,
With an exasperated sigh, he orders her to stand up. She has to hold out both her hands and he then balances the books on her hands. Going behind her, he hits her with the paddle – causing her to again lose control of the books.
She is then ordered to stand in the corner facing the wall, with the books again balancing on her outstretched hands. Headmaster Tom says he is going for a five minute break and when he comes back, the paddling is going to start all over again.
Jenny stands there fidgeting, her poor abused bottom is bright red, she shifts the books to one hand, while with the other one she rubs her poor sore bottom, dreading his return.
